When you get off to a bad start in life, it can sometimes feel like you were destined for defeat. How do you overcome this? Is it possible to live a happy and fulfilled life with what you've learned from your misfortunes? And what's the way to personal and professional success? In this episode, we sit down with George Cordova to talk about the power of a positive mindset and making it big in business with small steps.

You learn by waking up in the morning, going to work, putting in a hard day's work, and doing that repetitively for a certain amount of time. - George Cordova

Takeaways + Tactics

  1. You can learn the best skills for being an entrepreneur when you work for somebody else initially. Don't fall into the trap of starting too early.
  2. If a business isn't working, the earlier you realize it the better. It's still a learning experience.
  3. Don't just focus on being a salesperson. Sometimes it's all about what's best for the client.
  4. You're the maker of your own life. Surround yourself with people who appreciate you for who you are.

To start off, George talked about his background and how growing up without a father has affected his life. Then we went on to talk about how it's now more or less a practice to keep our children in a sheltered environment. Afterwards, George shared his story about how he became an entrepreneur and what inspired him to start his own staffing business. Then we talked about how some millennials can sometimes fall into the trap of instant gratification and are in danger of burning out. George then told the story of how he was nearly incarcerated and it molded him into a different person. Then we talked about George's real estate career and how he balances being a sales person with good, fair customer service. We also talked about the challenges of staying on the spiritual path in your life, despite all the difficulties that the modern world presents to us. Finally, George explained his thoughts on good debt and bad debt and how you can break even in your life.

We also discussed;

  • Business failures on the way to success
  • The dangers of starting your business too early
  • Being an Alpha male, when you haven't had one as an example in your own life
  • Survival of the fittest as a principle
  • Why expecting someone else to do everything for you is a problem
  • The best way to help customers in real estate
  • Living for the present day and not worrying about tomorrow

Not everyone has the fortune of having a good start in life. Your childhood doesn't define you. Even if you haven't had a good role model at a young age, you can always look to become one yourself. Focus on your own personal strengths and on what makes YOU happy. Learn from your failures as well as your successes. Surround yourself with people who will motivate you, not ones who will try to discourage you at every step. Finally, focus on what's happening in the now. Improve your current situation, hold on to your values in the present day and that will make tomorrow much easier. Personal and professional successes are dependent on your own values, so as long as you uphold these and follow your beliefs, you will succeed.

George Cordova is a realtor and successful entrepreneur. He decided to get into the real estate industry in 2006 after purchasing some investment properties for his family. Prior to Real Estate, George worked in the management field since the age of 22 and has managed work forces from 30 to over 1,000 employees. His experience in managing people and teams has been instrumental in his success in Real Estate. George is excellent in his communication, follow up, and negotiating skills. It's his firm belief that as an agent representing a buyer or a seller, it is very important to keep the client informed every step of the process. Obesity is now a widespread global epidemic. How do you take the first steps towards weight loss? What are the main things to consider when you're trying to live a healthier lifestyle? Does having kids really mean you can never diet? In this episode, weight loss coach Mitch Calvert answers all these questions, share his own story, and gives professional tried-and-tested advice and much more.

I eat now to fuel my body, which is a good thing - it has created a much better person in the end. - Mitch Calvert

Takeaways + Tactics

  1. You need to have a big motivation if you want to lose weight. Just looking good on the beach isn't enough, you have to consciously look to improve your own lifestyle.
  2. Diet like a king - not always easy, but ultimately worth it in the end.
  3. If you can, always go for grass-fed beef, as it doesn't have any of the factory carcinogens found in factory-farmed meat.

We started off the episode with the story of Mitch's own weight loss journey, and what set him on the path towards a healthier life. We then briefly talked about the connections between an obsession with video games and an unhealthy lifestyle. Mitch then went over his top tips about getting into shape and keeping the weight off. Afterwards, we briefly discussed the difficulty of keeping healthy testosterone levels in a busy city environment and how doctors are sometimes unhelpful when it comes to testosterone-related issues. Finally, we discussed some of the benefits of fasting and how joining a group can make dieting and/or exercise a lot easier.

In this episode, we also talked about;

  • Blackmailing yourself into weight loss
  • The importance of finding the right motivation
  • Dieting like a king
  • The benefits of grass-fed beef
  • What Mitch misses about being fat
  • Embracing your hunger

Weight loss is never an easy journey to set yourself on. Finding the right motivator is key in a successful transition to a healthier lifestyle. Your family and friends can help with that, however the change needs to come within YOU. Trick yourself into dieting and exercise, don't fall into temptation and the results will come soon enough. A good physician will know how to advise you on this, especially if your hormone levels are off. Mood-enhancing or weight loss medicine isn't always the answer - sometimes a bottle of testosterone can fix all the problems you've had until that point. Educate yourself and realize the need for a better, healthier lifestyle and that will help not just your body but your mind, too.

We’re living in an empire of complete deceit. How do we insulate ourselves from all the lies? How can we strive for the truth of the world? What can we make of all the supernatural experiences taking place in this world? On this episode, we are joined by “the X-Man” John deSouza who shares on these topics and tells us about the perils of popular culture.

Make sure you disavow, insulate and separate yourself from all mainstream media news. -John deSouza

Takeaways

  1. There are two steps to evaluating material that comes forward, you evaluate the credibility of the person and the credibility of the material.
  2. Popular culture is constantly putting out hypnotic programming.
  3. Investigators have to follow the investigation, follow the clues, but then apply their own knowledge and experience to what they’ve learned across hundreds of other cases.

At the start of the show, John shared how he got started at the FBI and the supernatural experiences he’s had. Next we talked about the dog walker revolution, and why you need to avoid mainstream media. We talked about pop culture and the effect it has had on us. John also talked about how investigators evaluate information, and the two-tier credence test. Towards the end of the show, we talked about the Wachowski brothers, and how the Matrix was made by mistake

John also shared;

  • Why is he called the X-Man
  • How to strive for the truth of the world
  • What's happening in Antarctica
  • The double trick of Roswell
  • Why Jupiter Rising is the story of the Universe

Popular culture is constantly trying to control our minds, and it takes conscious effort and choice to unplug ourselves from all that. If you want to find the truth, you have to do everything in your power to disavow, insulate and separate yourself from all mainstream media news. Withdraw from it, don’t trust it and don’t listen to it. We need to break away from the lies, and help each other find the truth. If you don’t, you’re stuck and under the control of forces working against our own enlightenment.

In the 21st century world, people make the mistake of not wanting to be vulnerable, and they miss out on so much. How do we overcome this and get the most value out of life? What is the ecstasy of a sore toe? How do you keep your skeletal system balanced? On this episode, Jon Turk shares his amazing life story and talks about how he stays in flow.

You can compensate for than nanosecond loss of reaction time, with this long term mental space. -Jon Turk

Takeaways

  1. You have to go inside yourself and find out where your power is and follow that power.
  2. Once you open your spirit to vulnerability, flow starts.
  3. Too often sports will stress a set of muscles, and not the counter opposing set so you throw your skeletal system out of balance.

At the start of the show, Jon shared his life story, how he stays in shape and what he eats to stay energized. He also talked about how to follow and find your power, and how to connect with the tundra. We also talked about the importance of vulnerability, and why so many people miss out on it. Towards the end of the show, we talked about how to get through barriers.

Jon also shared insights on;
- His time in Siberia
- The ecstasy of a sore toe
- The reciprocal relationship we have with nature

You have to draw your power from everywhere, not just physical or emotional. If you want to realize and effectualize your power to reach your optimal performance, you have to go in and find out the different parts of you and integrate them. You have to combine everything, and when you combine everything into a whole it’s completely glorious. Flow is being the moment and accepting everything that happens. As long as you can find yourself and not react emotionally, you’re going to be able to go through life and see it for what it really is vs. how we’re programmed to see it.
