Hair thinning and loss is an issue that affects a lot of men, and can impact their self-esteem, self-confidence, and how they carry themselves in the world. Luckily, there are non-surgical solutions that can give instant results without recovery time and negative side effects. How does the process work, and what can you expect during and after the procedure? Who is the perfect candidate for this procedure?

On this episode, I’m joined by highly regarded hair restoration expert and practitioner, and founding partner of Vantis Institute, Jessica Oslo. She talks about how she helps her patients get their hair and confidence back with this modern “best-kept secret” treatment for an age old problem.

Three Takeaways

For the procedure, Jessica assesses the diameter, density and pigment of the hair follicle, and then she replicates it with organic pigment and a microneedling device.

Each procedure takes between 4 and 5 hours, and is completely painless. You won’t have to worry about taking off work to recover as you would with surgery.

If you want the look of thick and dense hair, without pain and long recovery time, non-invasive restoration will be a better option than a hair transplant.

Senescence, or the degradation of our DNA cells, is the reason our bodies age and damage over time. How does cell damage impact how our bodies function? How does living a pro-inflammatory lifestyle impact our health and how we age over time? Why is fasting such a powerful optimization tool? On this episode, functional and longevity medicine practice physician, Dr. Suzanne Turner, shares on senescence and what we can do about it.

Three Takeaways

As we age, the cells in our body start to die (or go through senescence), and they start to spew out inflammatory chemicals and attack our innate stem cells, making them unable to heal us.

We now live in an age where all the information about health and wellness is so readily available. A lot of older patients didn’t come up in a generation where people talked about the importance of diet and exercise.

Ketone esters are a great supplement for mediating senescence, especially when taken along with intermittent fasting. Take 5g four times a day, when you would normally eat breakfast with black coffee, and then lunch or dinner or even before bed. Dr. Turner recommends these brands: KetoneAid or HVMN.

At the start of the show, Dr. Suzanne Turner shared how she got started, and why peptides are the present and future of medicine. Next, we talked about whether neurological disorders are caused by lifestyle choices, and the impact of cellular stress and disease.

We also discussed;

  • Why fasting is key to mediating senescence
  • Why we should stop taking growth hormone
  • The best supplements and peptides for mediating senescence

Modern living is laying siege to our endocrine, biological and spiritual systems. In order to claw back our health, we have to prioritize optimization at every level of society, from clinicians to consumers. How do we combat sickness, and expand our lifespans in a meaningful and impactful way? Why is the medical community’s panic over estrogen lab values such a huge fallacy? In our optimization regimens, how can we also make room for spiritual fitness and why it is so necessary? On this episode, we’re joined by top age management physician, Dr. Mike Carragher. He shares on challenging the sick care model, and achieving fitness in every area of our lives.

Three Takeaways

When we’re born, we have self-regulating cells. As time goes on, those cells are compromised through disease and poor nutritional choices. Peptides address these issues.

Health shouldn’t just be about living longer. It’s about making sure those lives and bodies are of good quality, and that we can move through the world and interact with it in a meaningful way.

Everything that we have that’s physical and material is a disintegrating frequency except the love in our hearts and the experiences we’ve had.

At the start of the show, Dr. Mike Carragher shared how he got started in medicine, and why he was so drawn to age management and health optimization. We also discussed how endocrine disrupting chemicals are causing the feminization of everything.

We also discussed;

  • The shocking lack of nutritional training in medical schools
  • The fallacy of lab values
  • Spiritual practices and routines to help us tap into what matters

Guest Bio-

Dr. Carragher is Board Certified in Family Medicine, with advanced certification in Age Management Medicine. He received his training at New York University, Rutgers University, Yale University and Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Carragher has extensive experience in optimizing health at every stage of an individual’s lifespan. The Carragher Method is a proprietary, evidence-based methodology of hormone optimization, developed to help patients attain a greater quality of life and to feel as youthful as possible. Ayahuasca is one of the most soul-changing, healing and consciousness-shifting substances known to man. It is well-known for its visionary aspect, but it also has incredible healing properties when it comes to setting our hearts and souls free of pain, trauma and emotional suffering. What is the passage of purification that takes place when we start taking Ayahuasca? What can we expect to experience when we’re on it? What is the true purpose of Ayahuasca, not the highly mainstream and commodified messaging we hear? On this episode, we’re joined by Amazonian shamanism and Ayahuasca practitioner, Zach Poitra. He shares on the power of Ayahuasca in the spiritual journey.

Three Takeaways

People who try out manifestation practice end up getting attached to the outcome, but the correct approach is allowance and acceptance with zero attachment.

When we start taking Ayahuasca, it starts out as a medicine clearing out our clogged channels and baggage. Then, it transitions into a sacrament that allows us to have the experience of ascension. Ayahuasca brings up hidden emotions, traumas and feelings to the surface so that we can integrate them, accept them and release them.

Money is an energetic currency that flows into our lives because we’re doing the right things like being of service to others.

At the start of the show, Zach Poitra talked about how he got started, and the journey he took that brought him to his first encounter with Ayahuasca. Next, we talked about how Ayahuasca works, the kinds of conditions it treats, and the experiences one can have when they take it. We discussed how to prepare mentally, emotionally and physically for an Ayahuasca experience. We also talked about the difference between using Ayahuasca as a medicine and as a sacrament.

We also discussed;

  • Why Peru is the place where many people experience increased consciousness.
  • The plant-medicine diet protocol and Shamanic dieting
  • The commodification on plant medicine
  • The importance of thinking multi-dimensionally

Guest Bio-

Zach began drinking Ayahuasca in 2009. At that time he was working in Finance and while he was successful, he found himself very dissatisfied and depressed. He knew that something was "off". After some searching via other modalities, he decided to take a trip to Peru and attend a 9 day Ayahuasca & shamanic dieta retreat. Zach moved to Jenaro Hererra in 2010 and stayed in Peru until mid 2014. Upon his arrival to Jenaro Hererra, Zach began drinking Ayahuasca and doing shamanic plant dietas with the Galindo family. Zach’s main teachers were Maestro Gumercindo Galindo and Maestro Don Roldan Galindo (Gumercindo’s father).

In 2011 the Galindo family and Zach opened an Ayahuasca retreat center, La Familia Medicina. La Familia Medicina conducted Ayahuasca and shamanic plant dieta retreats from 2011 to mid 2014. In late 2013, Maestro Gumercindo Galindo gave Zach the title of "Maestro". Visit https://www.ayahuascafamily.com/ for more information or send an email to info@ayahuascafamily.com;

Ketogenic dieting is such a big buzzword right now, but there’s a lot of misinformation surrounding it, especially when it comes to using it for metabolic flexibility. How can we use ketosis to burn fat, without it controlling our whole lives? Why is fasting one of the most powerful metabolic tools we have in our health toolkit? How do anger, resentment and hate destroy our physical health? On this episode, I’m joined by the founder of Keto Kamp, Ben Azadi. He shares on the tools we can use to optimize ourselves mentally, spiritually and physically.

Takeaways

Keto and the Atkins diet are not the same. Atkins did not focus on the quality of the fats; it was high fat, high protein and low carb. Keto is high healthy fat, moderate protein and low carb.

Instead of taking energy, blood flow and resources to digest food, when we fast, all that energy gets used to heal the body, fuel the brain and tap into the divine.

There’s a big difference between what you need to do to gain health and longevity, and what it takes to put on size. Your eating should be tied to your goals.

Studies have shown that the amount of silver fillings in people’s mouths is proportional to the amount of mercury they have in their brains. Ceramic fillings are toxin-free alternative.

At the start of the show, Ben shared the transformation he had in his life, and how reading and taking responsibility were the key to the change. Next, Ben shared on the ketogenic diet, and how it differs from Atkins. We also talked about the big lie we’ve been told about mercury fillings, and how to use fasting for autophagy.

We also discussed

  • Why hitting rock bottom is both scary and inspiring
  • Why keto isn’t just a diet
  • The spiritual effect of fasting
  • The importance of sleep and the dangers of phones, social media and AirPods

Ketogenic dieting is a tool we can use to reset our metabolism, reduce cellular inflammation and teach our bodies to burn fat for fuel. If we’re doing it right, it can allow us to meet our weight loss goals, but still give us the freedom to flex in and out of ketosis. The goal should be to use optimization techniques like this and fasting to improve our quality of life, but that doesn’t just mean in the physical sense. We also need to work on self-awareness, self-love and gratitude. Ultimately, we’re born with an empty bucket, and emotional stressors/bad health fill it up very quickly. Once all the toxic stuff overflows, that’s when we get serious illnesses, and life slips out of our hands.

Grounding and earthing are becoming more and more mainstream by the day, but it wasn’t always this way for the man who brought the practice into existence. What was the process of taking grounding away from the fringes, and into a more mainstream lifestyle? What does grounding do for our bodies, immune and nervous systems? How does the invention of plastics directly link to the health problems so many people are facing? On this episode, I continue my conversation with grounding pioneer, Clint Ober. He shares on what his grounding studies taught him, how grounding actually works and how we can all adopt it into our lifestyles.

Takeaways

The body is conductive, so if you want to shield it from free radicals, you don’t shield the environment, you shield the body.

We live in an elevated, sympathetic state. There is so much noise and so many things in our modern existence that trigger our flight or fight response. EMFs are an example of this noise, and without grounding, they will damage our bodies.

Animals in the wild don’t have the health disorders because they are grounded. Domesticated animals are prone to the same illnesses as human beings because they too are not grounded.

At the start of this episode, Dr. Clint shares how he went about the process of getting studies to support the idea of grounding, and the resistance he faced from mainstream experts. We talked about how the nervous system relates to grounding, and why the practice is so necessary in this day and age. We also talked about how grounding beginners can adopt the practice into their daily lives.

We also discussed;

  • How Clint was able to bridge the electrical with the biological
  • Why EMFs are a huge problem
  • The chain reaction that sets off chronic inflammation
  • How the invention of plastic affected our health negatively

Grounding should be a front and center protocol for all things health because it can be applied to so many health issues plaguing our society.  When we ground ourselves, we take the stress off your immune systems, and undo the chain reaction that sets off chronic inflammation. If we are grounded, EMF and free radicals, won’t be able to penetrate our bodies, we will actually deflect it. In order to undo the effects of all the toxicity we’re dealing with, we need to have more redox potential by introducing more free electrons in our bodies. It’s as simple as spending some time in nature and getting grounded as much as possible. It can change and save lives.

Guest Bio-

Clinton Ober is CEO of EarthFX Inc., a research and development company located in Palm Springs. He first learned of grounding when marketing and installing Cable TV systems in Billings, Montana in the early 1960’s. A decade later, he formed Telecrafter Corporation and built it into the largest provider of cable installation services in the United States. This company specialized in proper grounding of cable installations for safety and signal stability. In the 1980’s, he turned his attention to the developing computer industry and partnered with McGraw-Hill to distribute live digital news services, via cable, to PCs. This led to the development of the first cable modem and an increased awareness of the need for proper system grounding. Following a health challenge in 1995, he retired and embarked on a personal journey looking for a higher purpose in life. During his travels, he noticed people wearing plastic and rubber soled shoes that insulate the body from earth. He wondered if no longer being naturally grounded could affect us. The question led to an experiment that suggested grounding reduced pain and improved sleep. He developed a working hypothesis: Grounding normalizes functioning of all body systems (Corollary: The body utilizes the earth’s electrical potential to maintain its internal electrical stability for the normal functioning of all self-regulating and self-healing systems). Over the past eighteen years, he has supported a host of research studies that collectively demonstrate that grounding reduces inflammation and promotes normal functioning of all body systems.

Grounding has become massive international movement that has revolutionized health and healing for many. Today, I’m honored to talk to the man who made this movement a possibility, and he shares the story behind the incredible discovery he made. How did he get started in grounding? How did he make the transition from corporate to nature? What did he learn from his own health crisis? On this episode, I’m joined by the leader of the grounding movement and CEO of EarthFX, Clint Ober, who shares on his amazing life story and the journey he has taken.

At the start of the episode, we talked about how Chris had a medical crisis, the experimental surgery that saved his life, and what the experience taught him about the human body. Next, we talked about how that near-death experience led to him changing his entire life, and how he escaped the prison of consumerism. We also talked about how Clint discovered grounding, the results he got, and how he started helping other people.

We also discussed;

  • How national parks are the only places to connect with nature
  • How the broadcasting industry inspired Clint’s discovery of grounding
  • The benefits of grounding

Shamanism is a practice that has been in existence for over 40,000 years. It has a massive global pull and influence. Why is it so powerful and necessary in our world today? What is the difference between shamanism and religion? How can shamanism benefit people? On this episode, I’m joined by professor and shaman, Dr. Dave Murphy, who shares his journey with shamanism, and why it’s such a powerful practice.

Takeaways + Tactics

We’re not physical beings and the things around us aren’t physical. We are vibrating energy fields.

Everything in this world is a vibrating energy field with different frequencies. This means we’re all connected.

Shamanism is experiential, while religion is more about being told what to do.

When someone has a traumatic experience, a piece of their soul will break off and it can be found in the lower world and restored through shamanism.

At the start of the show, Dr. Dave Murphy defined vibrational frequencies and why everything in this world isn’t physical. Next, we talked about shamanism, the different types, and its origin. We also discussed how religion controls people in a negative way, and how shamanism differs. Towards the end of the show, we talked about how Dr. Murphy got into shamanism.

We also discussed;

  • Why everything is connected
  • How Dr. Murphy enters the meditative state
  • The benefits of going down the shamanic path

What we call matter is actually condensed vibrational energy that everything on this planet shares and is connected through. Shamanism allows us to tap into that vibrational level, and it has the ability to change our lives and the lives of other people. It allows us to change our perception of reality, and start to see the world as it really is, not the way we’ve been brainwashed to see it.

One of the most alarming statistics in professional bodybuilding is that a huge amount of athletes would shave years off their lives in order to win, and as a result they end up working with reckless and irresponsible doctors and trainers. What are the dangers of making such a decision? How has bodybuilding changed since the eighties? On this episode, I continue my conversation with bodybuilding legend, Dave Palumbo who talks about trends in the industry and how to get into great shape safely.

Takeaways + Tactics

The problem with bodybuilding today is that people are looking for shortcuts. They don’t want to do the work of training, eating and sticking to the basics.

People compete for a short time, then they want to be able to have kids, and live long. That’s why it’s so important that athletes take care of themselves.

Human beings respond to drugs differently, it’s about knowing your body.

At the start of the show, we talked about how bodybuilding has changed since Dave’s Palumbo. Next, we talked about the importance of training intelligently, and how technology has impacted how people train. We also talked about the importance of considering biochemical individuality in how people’s bodies react to drugs.

We also discussed;

  • How bodybuilders have become lazy
  • The best and safest drugs to use for growth
  • If professional bodybuilding is at risk of becoming extinct

Technology has done so much to make life more convenient, but in training and bodybuilding, it has led to recklessness, shortcut-taking, cheating and general laziness. People want to cut out the pain of the process, and they’ve stopped training with intelligence. The truth is, if we opt for the easy button, we will eventually do irreparable harm to our bodies, which we will surely regret. If we train right, we can get into our best shapes and still live long, healthy lives.

For all the good technology has achieved for humanity, it has also made a negative impact on our society. For many people, gadgets and devices block consciousness and critical thought. How is the digital age contributing to more noise and confusion, instead of it being a way for us to achieve optimal health? What is the balance protocol and how can we use it to make better decisions in the face of so much information? On this episode, I’m joined by functional medicine physician and creator of the Balance Protocol, Dr. Anthony G. Beck. We discuss the perils of the digital age and how to separate the helpful information from the noise.

Takeaways + Tactics

People want to be entertained, so they get confused between information, knowledge and entertainment.

When people give us information, they should give you the inclusionary and exclusionary criteria, along with showing you how to measure and monitor it.
Follow this formula: qualify, quantify, measure and monitor.

Scars are proof that we can heal, not that we’re vulnerable. They refine us and make us stronger.

At the start of the show, Dr. Anthony discussed his journey, and how the digital age is bringing a lot of low integrity people to the forefront. Next, we talked about how to tell the difference between good information we can apply to our lives, and unhelpful noise. We also talked about how to avoid getting caught up in the Matrix.

We also discussed;

  • How to leverage tech without letting it rule us
  • Overcoming dark nights of the soul
  • The downsides of the digital age

In a world where we are inundated and flooded with so much information, conflicting messages and even lies, we need to become filters in our own right. We need to develop the ability to figure out what applies to us, and recognize that the context of environment, lifestyle and mindset, matter as much as the information itself. Dr. Anthony’s insights remind us that no matter how much technology there is out there, our humanity, hearts and souls will always transcend the noise if we plug into that and not the devices and gadgets we own.

Erectile Dysfunction is a major worldwide problem that’s starting to affect younger men, and the sick care model’s fix is just not good enough. What is L.I.S.T and why is it a more powerful solution for ED? What are the biggest barriers that get in the way of men getting their ED treated? What is the Rocket and why is it a powerful solution for ED? On this episode, I’m joined by Dustin Wolff. He is a bio-hacking guru, Regenerative Medicine practitioner and co-founder of The Rocket, a revolutionary ED device. He shares on the work he does and how the Rocket will help thousands of men get their sex lives back on track.

Takeaways + Tactics

L.I.S.T employs a sonic wave that penetrates the soft tissue, which pushes blood flow to the area in order to repair it.

One of the major causes of ED is a build-up of plaque in the penis’ blood vessels.
Shock wave therapy clears this plaque and renews these blood vessels.

The three reasons men don’t get treated for ED is affordability, accessibility and embarrassment. The Rocket is affordable, easily purchased online and allows you to treat yourself in the privacy of your home.

Being fit and in good health is the most powerful thing we can do to get better results with any treatment.

At the start of the show, Dustin shared his experiences of being in the military and how he got started in the ED field. Next, we talked about how the body can heal itself given the right environment and how Low Intensity Shockwave Therapy works. We also talked about why pills like Viagra don’t really treat ED and fix the underlying issue.

We also discussed;

  • How and why young men are struggling with ED
  • How the Rocket works and treats ED
  • Why treatment is more effective and successful in healthy people

The Rocket doesn’t just temporarily bring blood flow to the penis, it actually solves the root problem, with absolutely no side effects. It will clear the blockage in the penis blood vessels and even promote the growth of new blood vessels. It’s safe, effective and affordable. The result is that men get firmer and longer lasting erections, which also impacts their marriages and self-confidence, helping them stand up taller and combat the challenges we’re facing. Learn more about The Rocket on this episode, and find out how you can use it to change your life.

Human beings are not only plagued by the non-stop war against our biological systems, but we are also dealing with fear, low self-esteem, loneliness and other negative emotions. Why is this negative stuff just as dangerous to our health as the biological issues? Why are the emotional effects of Erectile Dysfunction? What is the underlying root ideology of fear and how do we overcome it? On this episode, I talk to Michael Bertonatti, wellness specialist and clinical director of Miami’s number 1 optimization clinic, The Medical Health Institute. He shares on optimizing ourselves beyond the physical.

Takeaways + Tactics

When we internalize our stress and low self-esteem issues, it starts to affect us biochemically.

If we give our bodies what they need, they would never break down. When we optimize our metabolic, neurological pathways, our bodies won’t be set up to get sick.

Identifying, connecting and surrendering to God can have a profound impact on us, how we feel about ourselves and navigating this world.

At the start of the show, Michael shared his story and how his own health issues led him down the path of helping people. Next, we talked about how widespread the testosterone deficiency epidemic is, and why the media sensationalizes and demonizes the use of therapeutic hormonal optimization. We discussed why that has a lot to do with money and trying to instill fear in us. We talked about relentless education and how technology, social media and other distractions have made people lazy.

We also discussed;

  • How ED affects self-esteem
  • The one common denominator in people who value their health
  • Vulnerability, masculinity and the importance of having someone to talk to
  • Tools to improve spirituality

The truth about the world we live in today is that we have to use multiple vehicles in order to achieve optimum health. Testosterone and hormone optimization is not the only tool that can address our problems because we also need to deal with our emotional and mental health and make sure we are educated, informed and enlightened in everything we do. Optimization isn’t just a hormone or biochemical change, it’s a lifestyle overhaul which will shatter the whole sick care model as we know it.

When it comes to physical and even mental health, our society is more focused on the problem, instead of solving the dysfunction. How is this approach causing more harm than good? Why is the chiropractic so important to our overall health and wellness? What are the pillars of mental toughness? On this episode, I talk to insightful chiropractor, coach and restaurateur, Dr. Ralph Napolitano, who shares on pain, dysfunction, what’s wrong with the system, and how we can avoid getting overcome by it.

Takeaways + Tactics

Once your skeletal system has a dysfunction, your health will start to deteriorate and degenerate, which leads to other problems including digestive issues.

The digestive system makes up half of our nervous system, and if we don’t eat well it will affect many aspects of our health.

Mental toughness is all about mindset mastery, accurate thought, confidence and magnetic influence.

At the start of the show, Dr. Ralph shares how he got to where he is today, and why so many people in the gym are missing the point entirely. Next, we talked about the difference between pain and dysfunction, and what skeletal and nervous misalignment can do to the rest of the body. Towards the end, we talked about the lessons Dr. Ralph learned from his late father.

We also discussed;

  • The pillars of mental toughness
  • The importance of the gut in the rest of the body
  • Why the news media is so dangerous

Everyone in our world is constantly keying in on the pain, challenges, and issues, and throwing quick fixes like medication at the problem. The problem is, this just doesn’t solve anything, and in the case of the skeletal and nervous system, it leads to even bigger problems downstream. If we focus on solving the dysfunction, we’ll create long-lasting solutions and true optimization.

In order to be optimized in today’s environment, taking supplements is key, and one of the most powerful supplements we can take is C60. How was C60 developed, and what is the science behind why it works? How does C60 optimize and improve our health? On this episode, C60 Purple Power CEO, Ken Swartz, shares on why C60 is the miracle super-oxidant we need to be optimized.

Takeaways + Tactics

C60 is a carbon molecule made up of 60 carbon atoms.

When testing the new molecule, scientists discovered that it doubled the lifespan of animals.

In humans, C60 increases visual acuity and fat loss, improves libido, athletic performance and endurance. It’s even been known to make stem cells younger.

Take C60 in the morning because it’s a stimulant.

At the start of the episode, Ken shared on how he got started with C60 and the story of its development, and the testing methods and tools that were used. We also talked about why it’s only now being used in humans. We also talked about how the molecule supercharges the mitochondria, and what that does for our health.

We also talked about;

  • Why C60 is used as a delivery method for medications
  • How CC60 makes us younger
  • How C60 improves athletic function

C60 is revolutionizing age management because of it’s incredible abilities to not only increase life span, but to improve health and so many functions in the body. These include libido, energy, focus and concentration, athletic performance, endurance and fat loss. The molecule supercharges the mitochondria, de-ages stem cells and helps the body in so many ways. If you’re looking to be optimized, it’s worth adding C60 to your supplement regimen. It is the most powerful and versatile molecule there is.

Each year, more and more Americans are diagnosed with Lyme Disease, and the numbers are expected to keep going up. What is the connection between our highly toxic environments and the condition? Why does treatment have to go beyond just killing the parasites? What are the other factors leading to the rise of Lyme Disease in our population? Why are our internal drainage pathways so vital in treating the disease? On this episode, I’m joined by prominent functional medicine physician, clinician, bestselling author and speaker, Dr. Jay Davidson. He shares on his mission to help cure Lyme disease, and what we can do to eliminate pathogens and detox our bodies.

Takeaways + Tactics

Emotional trauma is as much a health risk factor as our environment, the food we eat and how well we take care of our bodies.

When it comes to treating disease, we shouldn’t just focus on the diagnosis, or how our DNA caused it. There’s always an environmental or habit-based source of the illness.

Drainage is extremely important in letting out the toxins. The most important drainage pathways in our bodies are the colon, the liver bile duct and lymphatic pathway.

If your brain is firing on all cylinders, you should be able to download information and retain it easily. If you’re having issues with memory, and cognitive function, it might be due to a lymphatic drainage issue.

At the start of the show, Dr. Jay Davidson shared on how he got into medicine, and how his wife’s struggles with Lyme disease led him down the path he’s now on to help people suffering from the condition. Next, we talked about how unresolved emotional trauma affects our physical health. “Typically, the more symptoms someone has, and the more they are struggling to get better, the more past trauma they have.” We also talked about why we need to shift our focus to unlocking our DNA instead of just thinking about the issues it might be causing.

We also discussed

  • How our life experiences are a projection of our inner state
  • The difference between drainage and detoxing
  • The best foods and treatments to keep our bowels functional

Our bodies are constantly assaulted by toxicity, mould, parasites, emotional trauma, and bad food choices. For us to survive, there are no other options besides detoxification, optimization and any other measure we can use to stay healthy. Lyme disease is a reflection of the times we’re living in, but that doesn’t mean that we are powerless against it. By eliminating toxins, keeping our drainage pathways clear and eating the right foods and taking the right supplements, our health can be restored.

Optimization for men is imperative in this environmentally toxic world. What are the key supplements an optimization-minded man should be taking? How can erectile dysfunction get addressed? How can men get rid of fat? On this episode, Dr. Jeffrey Ruterbusch shares on optimization tips and hacks, and his experience doing medicine all over the world.

Takeaways + Tactics

When it comes to natural testosterone boosters, none of them show anything beyond transient elevation.

If we train first thing in the morning on an empty stomach when our glucagon levels are the highest, and take hydroxycitric acid and l-carnitine, we’ll get chiseled

Tesofensine is phenomenal for weight loss.

At the start of the show, Dr. Jeffrey shared how he got started, and how optimization supplements have changed over the decades. Next, we talked about whether natural testosterone boosters work, and why you should train when your glucagon levels are high. We also discussed why Metformin is so powerful.

We also discussed;

  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Different types of peptides and their uses
  • The dangers of using statins

Replacing testosterone is one thing, but optimizing a man’s physical, sexual and mental health is an artform that isn’t practiced by a lot of the physicians. For optimization-minded men, the fundamentals are exercise, diet and supplements. If you added testosterone, thyroid, metformin and low dose Cialis, your health will be completely dialed in.

C60 is one of the most powerful optimization supplements on earth. The only challenge is, there are a lot of fraudsters claiming to sell the real thing when they aren’t. Why is this such a problem in the world of supplements? How can we identify reputable sources and sellers so we don’t waste our money? What are the benefits of C60? On this episode, SES Research co-founder and C60 expert, Chris Burres shares why C60 is a key optimization supplement and where to buy it.

Four Takeaways

Genuine C60 should dissolve and turn purple when you put it in into sunflower seed oil.

Most scientific studies are done with the intention to come to a specific conclusion, which is the opposite of science.

Because people aren’t protecting themselves from blue screens and devices, we don’t get into restorative, deep, polyphasic sleep, which is where we release growth hormone.

If you’re looking for legitimate sellers of C60, don’t buyer from a company that only sells on Amazon, and has no website or physical address. When you’re dealing with a legitimate company, you can call them and have an intelligent conversation.

At the start of the show, Chris shared how he got started, and how to find reputable C60 sellers. We talked about red flags that tell you a seller is selling fake supplements. We also discussed why so many studies shouldn’t be trusted.

We also discussed:

  • Why the supplement industry is so prone to fakes
  • How C60 improves sleep

What makes C60 special is that there’s nothing quite like it. There’s no other supplement that gives you energy throughout the day and helps you sleep better at night. But in this “buyer beware” era it can be hard knowing that you’re actually buying the real thing. It’s so important to do you homework and buy from companies that have validity. If you buy the real thing, and you incorporate it into your life, you will be in the best health of your life.

When it comes to life extension and optimization, peptides are a game changer. How do peptides work and why are they crucial to healing and cell regeneration? How can we reconcile what we know now about cell biology and how we attack disease and aging? What are the best peptides to use and how can we optimize our peptide use? On this episode, I’m honored to be joined by orthopedic surgeon, leading sports medicine physician, and game-changing performance optimizing master-mind, Dr. William Seeds. He shares powerful insights on the peptide revolution and how they are changing the face of medicine.

Four Takeaways

Aging is the #1 risk factor in health. When a cell deteriorates and fails to start the process of autophagy, it goes into senescence. Peptides can interrupt this process.

The immune system is paramount. Many health process breakdowns are caused by a problem in the immune system.

From age 30, there’s a slow down in the production of growth hormone and IGF.

Exposing the brain and the body to constant stimulation of growth hormone can do more harm than good to a patient.

At the start of the show, Dr. Seeds shares on the use of peptides in professional sport, and how peptides actually work. Next, we talked about how long it will take for medical system to actually benefit people. Dr. Seeds also shared on his favorite peptides, how he uses them and the health issues they solve.

We also discussed;

  • The best peptides for improved brain function
  • Melanotan and conscious expansion
  • Why Dr. Seeds combines GHRHs with GHRPs

Thanks to the advancement of optimization medicine, we finally have the biotechnology to extend our lives and use biotechnology to reverse or control the effects of aging. Through peptides, we give the body the ability to do what it did well when we were younger, and give it that chance to do it well as we age. Peptides aren’t about cheating the health code or enhancing performance, they are about repairing and restoring our bodies. Every aspect of our bodies and our health can be completely changed by peptides.

When it comes to building muscle and gains, many people won’t tell you what it’s like to be so big that you break car seats.

How does weighing 315 pounds impact sleep, clothing, and body temperature?

What are some of the other unforeseen challenges that come with being a massive bodybuilder?

On this episode, I continue my conversation with legendary bodybuilder, and CEO and Founder of RxMuscle.com, Dave Palumbo, who talks about what it felt like being a 315-pound ripped bodybuilder, and how going through challenging legal issues led him to find his purpose.

Jul 23, 2019

When it comes to building muscle, many people fail to achieve results because of incorrect form, and they fail to learn the biochemical techniques of bodybuilding. What are some of the key ways to make sure you’re achieving peak performance? What does it take to transform your body significantly? How can we make sure we’re activating our muscles at the right level? On this episode, I’m joined by professional bodybuilder, and CEO and Founder of RxMuscle.com, Dave Palumbo, who shares how he became a 315-pound ripped bodybuilder.

Three Takeaways

If you eat a lot of food without creating the stimulus for muscle building, you can take all the drugs in the world but it won’t do anything.

Squat, bench and row: if you learn to do these things well, you will build muscle.

Poke the muscle you’re supposed to be working so that you can have mind-muscle connection.

At the start of the show, Dave shared how he got started, and how he made the switch from lean runner, to a world-class bodybuilder. Next, we talked about how his life as an endurance runner contributed to his results in gaining muscle. We talked about some of the causes of people being so misinformed about weight training.

We also discussed;

  • The problem with trainers who can’t train and people learning about building muscle on social media
  • The biochemical techniques of building muscle
  • The drug regimen Dave used to gain muscle

The fundamentals of bodybuilding are impeccable form, achieving the full range of motion, and controlling the weights you lift. The problem is, many people in the gym won’t be able to learn the neurological patterning that is necessary to contract muscle fibers, and as a result, they never get any gains. You have to learn and train with someone in person; someone who knows what they are doing. Focusing just on getting more reps and sets won’t get you anywhere.

The human body has its own inflammation signalling system that we can optimize in order to heal ourselves. Why does the sick care system’s way of dealing with inflammation actually destroy this system? How does regenerative medicine work? What are the different types of regenerative tools and which ones are best? On this episode, I’m joined by Buckeye Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation founder, Dr. Roy “Buzz” Korth, who shares on the approaches of regenerative medicine and how they can be employed to heal the body.

Three Takeaways

Testosterone deficiency has more to do with stress levels than age nowadays.

Through inflammation, the body begins a process of healing itself through stem cells and growth factors. When people take pain medication, they get rid of the pain, but they also stop the process of healing.

Stem cells need oxygen to release growth factors. The areas that degenerate are tendons, ligaments and joints and that’s because after puberty, those areas don’t get circulation.

At the start of the show, Dr. Roy talked about the state of veteran healthcare, and the correlation between stress and hormone deficiencies. Next, we talked about why inflammation can actually be a good thing, and the process of extracting and getting stem cells. We also talked about the difference between stem cell grades and uses.

We also discussed;

  • Exosomes and how they are classified
  • The legal and illegal uses of stem cells
  • Best peptides for nutropic function and fat loss

The biggest issue we have in healthcare right now is that the so-called solutions to problems are nothing more than Band-Aids, quick fixes and short-term patches that don’t fix the root causes. This is where regenerative medicine comes in. It leans heavily on the fact that the body has the ability to heal itself, and if we get the right tools, we can help them regenerate. Pain and inflammation are warning signs and a signal that triggers the body’s stem cells and growth factors which will heal any wound. When we take pain medicine, SSRI’s and all the other quick fixes, we don’t actually solve the real issue. By employing the right tools, we can actually address what’s really at the core.

One of the biggest crises in health right now is the low levels of sperm count and fertility in young men, and the question of what the clinical community can do about it. Why are we experiencing such a decline in the reproductive potential of men who should be in their prime? Does testosterone therapy need to be at super-therapeutic levels all the time? How can men on testosterone therapy still maintain their fertility? On this episode, I’m joined by the Director of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at the University of Miami, Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy, who talks about how to improve the reproductive health of men.

Four Takeaways

The reasons we’re experiencing low sperm count in young men are obesity, environmental influences, stress, and social media.

Short-acting testosterone is better for fertility and reproductive potential because it mimics the body’s natural pulsativity.

The reason testosterone therapy affects fertility and blocks metagenesis is because if it’s used over a long term, it blocks FSH and LH.

The restorative protocol for people who took supra-physiological doses of testosterone for long periods of time is HCG and clomiphene to jumpstart testosterone and sperm production.

At the start of the show, Dr. Ramasamy shared how he got started, and what’s causing the crisis in male fertility right now. Next, we talked about why the biggest battle in the clinical optimization space is misinformation, and why it’s equally important to educate consumers as much doctors. We also talked about why faster-acting testosterone is better for improving fertility, and why the insurance-attached prescribing community is so afraid of testosterone.

We also discussed:

  • Where the fear of men taking estrogen comes from
  • How to restore sperm and testosterone production
  • Why doctors should not be dismissive
  • Risks of phlebotomy

For the last few decades, testosterone therapy has opted for long-acting preparations, but the problem is that it has impacted the reproductive potential of many men. When it comes to fertility, maintaining testicular size, and reproductive potential, the pendulum has to swing back to a shorter acting form to mimic the body’s natural physiology. That way, we can help men boost fertility and improve their health.

The rise and prevalence of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative disorders is alarming, and the healthcare industry is doing nothing about it. Why is Big Pharma letting this crisis worsen? What nutritional solutions can we put in place to start solving this issue? On this episode I’m joined by Dr. John Lewis, the Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder of Nurish.Me, to talk about the products his company develops and how they are helping people regain cognitive functioning.

Three Takeaways

  • Whatever diet program you opt for, eating greens, nuts and seeds is critical.

  • People have been conditioned to think everything is a genetic predisposition, but there’s a big difference between bad genes and the result of bad food choices.

    Not all sugar is bad for you. Polysaccharides enhance, modulate and improve our immune system functioning. They can be found in rice bran, wild Mexican yam, and aloe vera. You can also get them through dietary supplementation.

At the start of the show, Dr. Lewis talked about the importance of taking care of your health, and why he chose a plant-based diet. We talked about why Big Pharma would prefer the state of health to remain the same. We also discussed polysaccharides and why they are so important. Towards the end, we discussed the connection between the lack of weight training and the health issues Baby Boomers experience. Dr. Lewis also talked about his Alzheimer’s study.

We also discussed:

  • The biggest mistake made by many people who “eat clean”
  • The state of neurodegenerative disorders
  • Why you should confuse genetic disposition and bad behavior

The medical system is built to keep people sick for years so that they will constantly pay for medication, run out of money, and pass on bad behaviors to the younger generation. This is why Big Pharma has not stepped in with a meaningful solution to the neurodegenerative disorder problem: there’s no financial incentive for them to do so. There are other solutions however, in the form of enhanced nutrition with polysaccharides. These sugars have been extremely powerful in patients regaining their cognitive functioning and neuroplasticity. They have helped many people start getting their minds back, and we could save the masses by making itt a widespread treatment plan.

Exposure to healthy light is one of the most underestimated therapies in our mission to become optimized. Why is red light therapy one of the most effective ways to get this treatment, and what are the mechanisms that make it work so well? How can we make sure we’re using the right kind of devices for red light therapy? On this episode I’m joined by Scott Nelson, the founder of light therapy company called Joovv. He shares how their devices work, their benefits, and why light therapy is so beneficial.

Healthy wavelengths of light in the right dosages are incredibly beneficial for our health in so many areas. -Scott Nelson

Three Takeaways

  • Our lifestyles don’t lend themselves to exposure to healthy light, and this is doing a huge disservice to our health.

  • When choosing a red light therapy device, make sure the device delivers the clinically proven wave length, which falls into the therapeutic window. For visible red light, the range should be in the mid-600 nanometers. For invisible near infrared, the range should be in the low 800s.

  • One of the mechanisms of red light therapy is near-infrared wavelengths resonating with an enzyme during respiration called cytochrome c oxidase. This allows cellular respiration to be more efficient, creating more cellular energy which powers the whole body.

At the start of the show, Scott shared on how Joovv got started, how modern living has decreased our exposure to healthy light, and the impact it has had on our overall health. Next, we talked about some of the benefits of red light therapy, including improving the skin and cognitive function. We talked about how to identify a good red light therapy device, red light therapy and its impact on our eyes, as well as how to determine the coverage of a device.

We also discussed:

  • How red light therapy can aid in stubborn fat loss
  • The difference between dry infrared sauna and red light therapy
  • Whether red light therapy can have an impact on our eyes

The variety of health optimization benefits we gain by using light therapy are simple but incredibly underestimated. Red light therapy reduces joint pain and inflammation, and it improves muscle recovery and peak athletic performance. But not every device that promises these benefits actually delivers, and we have to be very careful about what we buy. You’re looking for coverage, therapeutic power ranges, and metrics substantiated and validated by third parties.

The greatest barrier to optimization isn’t just the structures of the healthcare industry, but also the attitudes and mindsets so many people have towards it. Why is it dangerous to be so dogmatic about how healthcare should work? What are some of the things we need to align in order to be healthier? What are some of the challenges doctors face as they switch from the traditional healthcare system to optimization? On this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Bonner who shares how he left the sick care system and why he isn’t looking back.

Four Takeaways

  • If you’re dogmatic about medicine and sticking to the traditional system, you’ll get left behind and lose your health in the process.
  • The information taught in the traditional study of medicine is very different from what doctors need to learn in optimization.
  • Everything that’s wrong with healthcare goes back to Big Pharma. They want men on ED medication and SSRIs so they can make more money.

  • Screens destroy your optic nerve, and rewires your dopaminergic pathways.

At the beginning of the show, Dr. Bonner shared how he got started, and what led him down the path of optimization personally and professionally. Next, we talked about why it’s so challenging to switch from traditional medical training to functional medicine. We also discussed about why Big Pharma can be blamed for all the issues in healthcare.

We also discussed;

  • How devices compromise sleep
  • Why you shouldn’t block estrogen
  • The metformin conspiracy

For many physicians who have been trained on the sick-care model, the idea of leaving that system is something they would never dare to do. Not only does it expose them to judgement, and possible financial setbacks, it also goes against every single thing they are taught in medical school. Most of these people are just too set in their ways, too dogmatic and too afraid to change; but as the optimization becomes more necessary, these people will get left behind.
